Like many of you, I am asking, how can I help?
As we look around us on social media and even the surrounding hills, we find that the needs seem so great. Most of you already know that as of 2:00pm, our county Sheriff informed us that all the shelters are well manned and resources are plenty. We’ve been told that the best way to help is to help our neighbors. Love your neighbor as yourself. We can do this!
We are so blessed to hear that, already, many from our fellowship are volunteering however and wherever they can, donating money to families in need, and continuing to do what they can. If you are a part of the Refuge family we want to help you however we can. Please let us know what we can do to support you financially, physically and spiritually during this crisis by emailing [email protected].
We want to meet immediate needs, but we know we also have to prepare for the long recovery. People will be out of work and homes will need to be rebuilt, but most of all know that we are here for you, and God is with us!
Tomorrow morning myself and the Elders will be meeting together with pastors and city leaders to pool our resources together and make clear lanes for resources and help. Please stand by for more information on how you can help. We will continue to post information here at RefugeCF.com. At the same time, know that we are anticipating a long road to recovery for our city. There will be plenty to do in the coming weeks, months, and even years.
May God give us grace and strength to make much of Jesus - the suffering and victorious savior - at this great moment of need.
Vaya Con Dios!
