Andrew and Chantel work with Nexus International and the Wilderness Ministry Institute.

Andrew & Chantel Underwood

Some missionaries go to the easy places, Underwoods go to the hard ones — and they overcome. Working with Nexus International, headquartered in Centennial, Colorado, they have given their lives to the slow, costly, unglamorous work of starting and sustaining disciple-making movements in places where the Gospel faces real resistance. Andrew works directly alongside local church leaders and ministry pioneers — coaching, encouraging, and equipping them for the kind of relational, patient, multiplying discipleship that grows deep before it grows visible. The most important work is often the work no one sees.

Their ministry currently spans multiple countries and contexts — a house church pressing forward against communal opposition in Mauritius, teenagers learning to follow Jesus in the middle of a civil war in Myanmar, a pastor doing quiet relational disciple-making in Taiwan, creation care initiatives in the Philippines, and regional leadership gatherings connecting ministry leaders from New Zealand to Nepal to Pakistan. It is not glamorous, it is not fast, but it is faithful. And we are proud to call them partners.

The Underwoods depend on the prayers and financial partnership of people who believe the slow work is worth it. If the Lord is stirring something in you, consider supporting them directly through Nexus International.
