The men of Refuge come together every other Monday for a meal, fellowship, and to study the Bible. They are currently doing a series of books of the New Testament. April 10 marks the beginning of their new series through the book of Philippians.
A word for the men:
Our focus in these studies is not so much academic except to better understand the context around what is being said and taught. Our aim is to allow the Word of Scripture to speak to our personal lives, to challenge us to trust Jesus, to love and follow him more and more in light of the grace and love that he has first shown toward us. The format is to read the assigned passage in the week leading up to our meeting, asking yourself heart searching questions, and then come to share what God is showing you and hear how God is speaking to others. All of this helps us know and understand better who we are as individuals and help each other along the path of simply following Jesus. By God’s grace we are and will be a group of men who have true fellowship.
