Welcome, Fishers!

Church, we are so excited to introduce our new administrative Pastor and Elder Jon Fisher and his family to Refuge. God has so clearly and graciously provided for Jon to come on board and we are anticipating God to do great things. Please keep him and his family in your prayers as they not only transition to the North Bay but to our church family as well.

May the Lord bless and keep you.

We are so excited to meet the family at Refuge!

Over the last several months the Lord has been orchestrating all the details of our move to Refuge. He writes amazing stories and doesn't leave out any details... and this is one we look forward to sharing as we get to know you all. He has been so kind to prepare our family and provide a way for this opportunity to happen.

I want to briefly share a little bit about who we are. My wife, Naomi and I have 5 children, Elijah 10, Abby 8, Levi 7, Simeon 5, and Jethro 3. We homeschool and spend a lot of time enjoying the outdoors with our kids. I spent 10 years in full time ministry doing everything from being a youth/young adult pastor, overseeing outreach, tech, media, facilities and everything else people don't realize pastors do. ;)

Six years ago, my brother in law and I started a coffee roasting company and cafe called Devout Coffee in Fremont. Devout provides many opportunities to be a blessing to the community, love people well and learn their stories. Even with a growing business, our primary calling is to serve the church in a full time capacity. We are so blessed to be able to step back into that role. Our passion is to make disciples who make the most of every opportunity to engage the culture with the good news of Jesus.

We are eagerly searching for a home so we can make the move from the East Bay. We are looking forward to joining the family and doing life with Refuge.
