“Then the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him that there was no justice. He saw that there was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor; therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; and His own righteousness, it sustained Him. For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garment of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.” Isaiah 59:15-17
This Messianic passage in Isaiah, speaks of the Lord desire to satisfy His own wrath by providing an intercessor through His Son, Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection.
How great a God we serve, who by His own arm brought salvation! To God alone be the glory!
“You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain and have redeemed us to God by
Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and nation, and have made us kings and priests to Our God; and we shall reign on the earth.”
Revelation 5:9-10
